Please sign-up for your REQUIRED after-school full-length A.P. Composition Exam no later than Monday, April 02nd by using e-mail address Trista Erickson@HartlandSchools.US and password apcomp.  The test will run from 2:30 until 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17th and/or Thursday, April 19th.

Detailed Daily Calendar of Activities and Assignment Due Dates for the 2010 - 2011 School Year

REQUIRED SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS FOR ALL 2011 - 2012 A.P. COMPOSITION JUNIORS

Both parts (I and II) are due the very first day of school, without exception.

These are required assignments; they are NOT optional.

You are REQUIRED to submit a hard printed (word processed & double-spaced) copy of these assignments on the very first day of school - Mrs. Erickson will not accept electronic submissions of these assignments on that day.

Please read the information carefully, so you do not miss anything. 

You will read one novel (chosen from a specific list) and three short pieces of writing. 

There are writing assignments for all the required reading.

A related additional testing activity will be completed on the very first day of school.

All the information you need to complete both assignments is included.

Optional Extra-Credit Opportunity available on the very First Day of School for all 11th grade A.P. Composition Students: (1) Print a copy of the Class Syllabus. (2) Write your name in ink on the top of every page of the Syllabus.  (3) Bring the entire Syllabus with you to class.  (4) Have the signature sheet from the Class Syllabus complete and ready to turn in.

OPTIONAL OPPORTUNITY: If you submit Part I, or Part II, or both Parts I & II of your assignment electronically (via e-mail) NO LATER THAN 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday August 17th or any time before that date, your assignment(s) will be returned to you the very first day of school graded. 

You do not need to complete both parts I and II for this option (you may submit both parts or either part you choose); however, the part or parts you do submit must be complete in and of themselves.
