BOOK REPORT ASSIGNMENTS
Initially assigned Tues., Sept. 09th.
Re-assigned (for second semester, although BOTH dates were given in September of 2009) on Wed., Feb 17th.
Students read silently and independently for twenty-five minutes every Wednesday in class.
Every Wednesday Teacher-Approved Novel is not brought to class results in a five point deduction from final book report score.
CRITERIA:
- 200 Total Points Possible for the project - Please choose Only One assignment.
*EVERY time you do not have your Independent Reading Novel in class on a Reading day (Wednesdays) you lose 5 points from your total earned score.
- Required Length of Report: Two (2) to Four (4) Pages.
- Final Paper MUST be TYPED & Double Spaced.
- NO LESS THAN EIGHT Book Logs MUST be Attached.
- Creativity (Effort), Spelling, Grammar, & Mechanics Count!
- Top of Paper MUST include the following Information:
1.) Your Name, Class Hour, and Due Date
2.) Title & Author of Novel
3.) Number and Title of Chosen Project.
* Your paper MUST be based one of the possible assignments. You are NOT to write a plot summary. If one of the below assignments is not completed, your paper will receive a grade of zero.
* Your report MUST be based on a teacher-approved novel.
Book Report #1 Due Date: Friday, January 15th
(extra-credit available for early submission – details attached)
Book Report #2 Due Date: Thursday, May 27th
(extra-credit available for early submission – details attached)
(this report MUST be based on BOTH a different assignment and novel than your first semester report)
