Kennedy - Nixon Debates Started the Kennedy-Nixon Debates of 1960. These were the first televised debates between presidential candidates. There were four and we saw excerpts from #1, #2, and #4. Number 3 was not shown. Here is a transcript of each one. I have highlighted in yellow the parts that were on the video. Assignment - After we finish the Debates you will answer the question who would be the best president and why? Use at least three references to what was said in the debate. Give one reason why the other candidate would be good. (concession) You will work in pairs and put your reasons on a campaign poster with artwork.
