Course Description

This project-based investment course develops student understanding and skills in such areas as types of investments, the stock market, and stock valuation. Students acquire an understanding and appreciation of the need for investing. The capstone activity of the course is the development of a diversified stock portfolio. Throughout the course, students are presented problem-solving situations for which they must apply academic and critical-thinking skills. Application of investment strategies is an on-going component of the course.
